Argentine Businessman Hospitalized in Uruguay, Condition Worsens

Businessman Alberto Samid had to be hospitalized in the Uruguayan city of Punta del Este after suffering from a urinary tract infection, but his condition worsened and his family asked for help from Governor Axel Kicillof, while also requesting a medical plane to transfer him to Buenos Aires. In a message posted on Samid's social media X account, which was accessed by the Argentine News Agency, his wife, Marisa Scarafía, stated: 'Alberto is hospitalized at the Cantegril Hospital in Punta del Este. He was first admitted for a urinary tract infection, but the condition worsened because they detected a virus in his blood that is not well known but is very dangerous since he has low blood values, platelets, white blood cells, and other values.' She added: 'We need him to be transferred to Buenos Aires and the only way is by a medical plane. Alberto needs to be in his country, attended by his doctors.' Scarafía also left two phone numbers in the said message, which concluded: 'And to all of you who love him so much, I ask you to pray for him.' For this reason, I earnestly ask the Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Peronist mayors, and all comrades to help us with this matter.
